Point Baker is a small wilderness fishing village of about 20 full time residence. There are three lodges
located in Point Baker and all have easy access to great fishing. The Point Baker Rips are located just outside of the bay.
These waters are where two tidel influences meet the the outflow of the Stikine River. The disturbance in the water churn
up bait and this attracts all five spieces of Salmon, Big Halibut, Rockfish, Steelhead, Dolly Varden along with others.
Humpack Whales are very comonly sited along with an occational group of Killer Whales. Sea Lions, seals,
porpose, beach and sea otters, black bear, wolves, mink, bald eagles are just some of the critters that roam these parts.
